A Wonderful Space For All Of The Family
We adore this project that we recently completed for a couple who were hoping to create the perfect space for their young family. With a modern “Flat White” style room and a host of luxury finishing touches, we think that we most definitely brought their vision to life!
What Did Oliver James Achieve?
Our client’s lovely property was located in a gorgeous rural setting with fabulous views. Although it featured generously proportioned rooms, the space was stretched, especially as they had two young children. They were experiencing the usual problem of constantly clearing away toys from a living area that was serving as a kitchen, dining room and playroom; all rolled into one! Their dream was to enhance the natural light in their home, creating an airy room with direct access to a garden that their boys could call their own.
With this in mind, we opted for creating a “Flat White” room, which looks contemporary while in keeping with the traditional aesthetic of their property. The room was complete with a stunning roof lantern and bi-fold doors, which make a real statement. A new patio was also fitted, which steps onto the lawn, complemented by some lovely external lighting, which creates a seamless transition between home and garden.
As you can see from the photographs below, it is now being used as a room where the boys can have fun with all of their toys, without being under mum and dads feet. The whole family is delighted with their new space, and we are so pleased with the wonderful feedback we have received from them!
