Gorgeous Kew Style Room
Mr Davis wanted to open up the ground floor of his house by creating an enormous kitchen space that would be big enough to accommodate a large island, a substantial dining room table with chairs, and a sofa. He contacted Oliver James for our help and knowledge in kitchen extensions in Milton Keynes. The property was a new build in Milton Keynes, and as is so often the case, the rooms are not generous in proportion.
We designed a beautiful Kew style room for the client, complete with lovely French doors with floor to ceiling glass panels to the sides. The addition of two Velux solar-powered roof windows really allows the light to flood in. The roof windows we fit, are not only fabulous to look at, they are also very practical. One-touch of a button opens or closes them, and if you leave them open and an unexpected downpour occurs, the clever inbuilt rain sensors allow them to close automatically.
Our client chose a bright white gloss kitchen with square chrome handles and some interesting glass-fronted units. The whole thing contrasts strikingly with the blackwork surfaces and appliances. Some creative lighting and mirror finish black floor tiling really finishes off what is a stunning new living space that serves as a kitchen, dining room and comfortable TV lounge all rolled into one.
