Bespoke Garden Room with the WOW factor
Shortlisted for the International Design and Architecture Award
Our clients wanted to use the L-shaped design of their original detached property to fill the existing patio space. They hoped for a room that could be used as beautiful sun canopy in the Summer, and as a warm social space in the Winter months. Mr and Mrs Roberts wanted to achieve a real wow factor of a room, and we managed just that!
We created a completely bespoke design for them with two sets of doors that would fold away, leaving just the roof above, creating a covered but open dining space. Perfect for those balmy but damp Summer days and evenings. Their specially made roof lantern was an absolute giant, measuring 4m x 2m, meaning that it had to be craned into the project, along with the bespoke roof construction. Some creative lighting around the roof lantern and the addition of a wood burner, enhanced the room’s warmth and versatility from day to night and through all the seasons of the year. This was one of our more challenging projects, but the end results were incredible. It was so incredible that it was actually shortlisted for a design and architecture award. When our clients had to reluctantly, relocate, they were delighted that the property sold on the first weekend that it went on the market. We can’t say we were surprised!

"We absolutely adored our garden room! After talking through the very specific requirements we had in mind for our space, James and Carrie were able to create a design that truly exceeded all of our expectations. No task was too big or too complicated for them to handle, and every member of the team took great care to ensure that each component was completely perfect. We were so sad to say goodbye to our stunning space when we had to move, but we know it will most definitely be loved by the next family!"
